Refers to a song by Adele in which she ponders the question: should I give up this relationship where my BF is cheating on me or should I just keep chasing pavements? Staying in the relationship even if it leads nowhere.
Adele realized how ridiculous it was that all she was doing was chasing pavements in this crappy relationship and used it as a metaphor. I'll keep on chasing pavement until I find her.

That song is about should I give up or should I just keep trying to run after you when there's nothing there? I was only with him for four months but when I signed my record deal I had to write an album, as I hardly had any songs, so I wrote about him. I couldn't write songs for ages because I found it really hard writing songs for fun or writing them because someone had invested a lot of money and time in me.
I just couldn't do it. And then I met my ex-boyfriend and it was great to begin with and then it was really shitty. And then I wrote about ten songs in about five weeks. It's about a bird dat is on da rong rd.
The song was inspired by an incident Adele had with a former boyfriend of six months. You're chasing an empty pavement. Some pavements lead to nowhere some lead to great places, and it's hard to get back to the same pavement again, if you've walked to far away, whatever risk she is thinking of taking for love, she is comparing it to pavements because it could lead somewhere great, or nowhere, but if she takes the risk, she can't go back on it.
So if she takes the risk, she couldn't ever go back and she is singing about how she is unsure if she should take the risk. That's my opinion but it might not be right, as I don't know exactly what Adele was thinking but I hope you found it useful :. For me this song means "should I settle for a love that won't last instead of waiting for the right one for example chasing pavements for me means to keep walking on the path away from the wrong person and keep waiting It also means that with this said should give up on love and stay single forever.
I think this song has a different impact on a particular individual with a particular circumstance and past experience.
This song simply means that she is deeply in love with a construction worker. However, it is not socially acceptable to stalk people, so she has to chase his work life. This song computes her frustrations on having to chase unpaved, or in the process of being paved sidewalks. I see that this song isn't just about relationships Adele is talking about that moment of hesitation when someone is not sure of his success in achieving his goal s even it was a relationship or a dream of being a footballer..
I think I'm in the same moment right now!!! I don't know wether it's gonna be a waste if I failed or no :'. She love the guy bt she is not sure dat da guy flt da same This song is about unrequited love.
She is in love with someone who doesn't love her that much. So, she is asking herself if she is going to pursue her feelings for him. Even though, She knows that what they have might not lead anywhere.
